![]() Tips for Choosing Peaches:Look for peaches with a rich, golden color and light blush, avoiding green undertones that may indicate not quite ripe. Peaches should feel soft, but not mushy. A pleasing scent is an indicator of ripeness. Also, a sturdy stem is a sign that the peach is not overripe and dried out.Preparing Peaches for Recipes & Freezing:Peaches can be prepped for many different recipes by removing their skins through the quick and easy blanching process:Place them in a large pot of boiling water for just a few seconds (no longer than 30-45 seconds). Then remove from pot. On parchment-lined sheet pans, add peach slices and place in refrigerator or freezer. Peaches stored in the freezer should be eaten in approximately two months.
